What results can you expect from an employer branding project?

Wondering about the benefits of investing in employer branding? Here’s the thing: whether your budget is basically limitless or you’re shaking pennies from the piggy-bank, you should absolutely expect to see tangible results from any level of investment. The key is to understand what these results may be, so you can build the right plan and focus your efforts on the areas that will yield the best results for your specific KPIs.

Here are seven stories from our clients, with cold hard facts on the results of their investment in their own unique employer brand. The clients’ project scope range from a small number of written stories or job ad templates to investment in full-service EVP development, strategy workshops and top-of-the-line creative outputs. The one thing they have in common? They all achieved fantastic results their immediate or long-term talent priorities.

Powerlink Queensland

Results so far:

  • 51% increase in career website visitors.
  • 140% increase in general application rates.
  • 215% increase in application rates via social media.
  • 191% increase in company page and job views on social media.
  • 282% increase in early careers program application rates.
  • Significant increase in applications from underrepresented and diverse communities.

Powerlink Queensland invested in a full overhaul of their employer brand, including the development of their employee value proposition, strategic workshops with key stakeholders, and the creation of a broad range of storytelling assets to bring it all to life and amplify their message to their talent market. Less than a year after implementing their new employer brand strategy, they’ve already seen results that prove the immense value of this work.

The Benevolent Society

  • Saved over $325,000 in recruitment and temp fees and related costs

These stats prove that if you have a great strategic plan, even a little investment can yield incredible results. The team at The Benevolent Society identified the role types that were most difficult to fill. We then created a small suite of content celebrating the journeys of people currently in these roles. Four stories and three months later, they’d filled 44 roles - an unprecedented result for their talent team. This also allowed them to demonstrate the value of employer branding for their organisation, and they went on to develop a consistent storytelling strategy that has driven wonderful results.

M2P Engineering

  • A single job advert produced by EBA delivered more than six times the number of applications they’d previously had for the same role. Most importantly, the volume of quality applicants had soared!

M2P Engineering are engaging in some really incredible employer branding work. Watch this space on that! But even starting with something as simple as a job ad, they saw results. Now, the sky’s the limit for this fresh, progressive, authentic organisation.

Goodstart Early Learning

  • 63% increase in web page views per session
  • Average time on site increased by 52%

Goodstart Early Learning invested in a smaller amount of TA assets and stories to start their employer branding journey. They saw an increase in their key web analytics almost immediately! They’ve since gone on to develop more stories and are able to pull their growing suite of evergreen content whenever they need quotes or content for social posts, job ads and more.

Charters Towers Regional Council

  • Their best performing social media content ever - a reach of over 50,000 on Facebook alone, and an avalanche of likes, comments and positive sentiment.

Charters Towers Regional Council has a smaller social media presence, as can be typical for a regional council. However, they proved that people-focused storytelling and celebrating employees can be some of the most engaging social media content. As part of an employee celebration campaign, they posted about Peter the street cleaner, and received an influx of comments from community members who loved the opportunity to celebrate Peter’s hard work. While the social stats are great, the real result here is that Peter and his peers felt visible, valued and connected, and Council was seen as a great workplace by the local community.

Y Kinders

  • Vacancy rate nearly halved

After investing in a suite of creative storytelling and talent acquisition assets, including videos, written stories, job ad templates and more, Y Kinders saw their best recruitment season ever. We partnered with them to identify a number of challenges to their recruitment strategy. We knew there were preconceived ideas that we needed to bust around flexibility, career growth, and experience requirements. So, we focused on stories and themed content addressing these concepts. At Y Kinders, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to advance your career and work flexibly when it suits. What’s more, there are plenty of transferable skills from other care-based roles that come in handy here. With this strategy, we helped Y Kinders tell their story and attract the talent they need for the future.

Community Restorative Centre

  • Increased job applications, leading to the hire of ten new staff members into roles that had been extremely hard to fill.
  • Evergreen content that they are able to adapt for other vacancies and ongoing recruitment marketing.

Community Restorative Centre does wonderful work in New South Wales helping people who have been involved in the criminal justice system navigate the process and reintegrate into society. Their work can be challenging, and they need to attract people with the right balance of empathy, diligence and persistence needed in these roles. With a small suite of people stories, we were able to help Community Restorative Centre tell their story through the words of their people. They’ve been inspired to use this content throughout other recruitment assets to bolster their attraction strategy.

Well, hopefully the numbers speak for themselves. If you’d like to see results like this too, we’d love to meet with you! We’ll discuss your talent challenges and goals, and show you what we can do to help! Get in touch today.
