“It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity. If you’re someone who’s excited about new technology and making a difference, this is your chance.”

Every possibility starts with Powerlink.

The opportunity.

They deliver electricity to more than five million Queenslanders, yet Powerlink Queensland’s incredible story was largely unknown outside the industry. To fuel an exciting pipeline of talent initiatives, they needed to overcome brand misconceptions and connect with diverse audiences - from corporate offices to regional field teams.

The solution.

We partnered with them to articulate their unique Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to help them tell a unique story of opportunity, growth, scale and challenge. We then empowered their internal teams with strategic tools and authentic storytelling content to show prospective talent the human faces behind the energy grid.

The result.

Powerlink transformed its market presence. Their people-first storytelling approach drove a massive 140% surge in general applications and a 215% spike via social media. Most importantly, the campaign deeply resonated with underrepresented talent, delivering a significant influx of applications from women, gender-diverse individuals, and First Nations communities, ensuring Powerlink’s workforce is as diverse as the communities they power.

"Employer Branding Australia took the time to understand our people, our achievements as well as our challenges. On implementation of our EVP, we saw a noticeable shift in the awareness of our brand in market and candidate’s interest in us as an employer. We’ve now got a clear strategy, messaging and plan for our employer brand in market – both now and in the years to come.”
