“Being Down Syndrome is very special to me. That’s the way that I am. I’m just very proud of myself.”
A fairer world starts with The Benevolent Society.
The challenge.
The Benevolent Society envisions a just society where all Australians can live their best life. To achieve this, they needed passionate Allied Health professionals to deliver their vital vision and wanted to translate their deeply human culture into a narrative that attracted purpose-driven people.
The solution.
We partnered with them to produce a targeted, heartfelt storytelling campaign with their people at the centre. We highlighted the real lives, diverse expertise, and genuine care their team brings to every journey, and mapped these into a strategic content plan for The Benevolent Society to publish one week at a time.
The result.
Within three months, the campaign generated incredible momentum, filling 44 vital Allied Health positions and saving $325,600 in recruitment costs. Social media engagement skyrocketed, but the deepest impact happened internally. Reading about their colleagues' lives ignited a powerful wave of employee engagement. The team felt deeply connected, driving a massive surge in internal referrals and recognition award nominations, proving that authentic storytelling builds community from the inside out.

"It was lovely to see the energy among our team when a story came out, and they learned more about each other's lives and careers. This work also enabled me to demonstrate to the wider organisation that we can achieve better results by doing things differently and creatively."
